| About the Show |
Animaniacs is one of the greatest shows (my opinions) made in the 90's. It lasted five seasons, had a movie, had a great comic run, had some episodes on videocasette, some music videos, at least one musical cassette and is now having it's whole collection brought out each season on DVD.
Animaniacs ran on Fox, ran on WB, and even ran on Cartoon Network for a time.
The main characters in the show were Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Warner. No one knew what they were supposed to be. They were drawn in the 1930's, cause too much mayhem and were locked in the water tower for many years. They escaped in the 90's and that's where the show takes off.
Other character sketches also appear in the show. For more info on them, check out the Characters link.
Rita and Runt: A homeless dog and cat who is always trying to find a home
The Goodfeathers: Pigeons who stick together. They always ask for help from the Godpigeon usually once in each episode.
Chicken Boo: He's a giant chicken. He always tries to be someone else. He always gets discovered in the end.
Minerva Mink: A sexy mink who wants Mr. Right. Is chased by a dog and sometimes does her own chasing. Featured in the comic more than the show I think.
The Hip Hippos: Endangered Hippos who moved from the jungle to a city.
Katie Kaboom: Teenage girl who has powers to change into monsters and eventually blow up when she has a crisis.
Mime Time: Mime does Miming. Always gets hurt.
Good Idea, Bad Idea: Mr. Skullhead proves what are good ideas and bad ideas for people to do.
Mindy and Buttons: Mindy always gets into trouble. Her dog Buttons always tries to rescue her. Her dog always gets in trouble for something and never gets the recognition he deserved.
Pinky and the Brain: Probably featured almost as much as the Warners and even gained their own show. The Brain is a genius who wants to rule the world. Pinky is his sidekick and isn't a genius at all. The Brain tries to come up with a plan to rule the world, they try it, it fails. Sometimes it's Pinky's fault and sometimes it's actually The Brain's.
Randy Beaman Kid: Always likes to come out of his house and talk about something that happened to Randy Beaman. Afterwards he says goodbye and goes back inside.
Hello Nurse: Actually has her own WeIrD spotlight as a super hero in the comic books. Only a couple comics were based on this I think.
Slappy Squirrel: Bitter old squirrel who never loses her ability to laugh or joke. She is very bitter though, and that's one of the things I LOVE the best about her. Who knew cranky was so cool?
That's all I can remember off the top of my head. If I remember any more, I'll add it in later. |
